The Theme for 2016-17 is "What is Your Story?"
Use the summer to begin your Reflections project!
Reflect on the theme and create your piece in one of six categories:
Visual Arts • Photography • Literature
Dance Choreography • Film Production • Music Composition
Be sure to follow all rules posted below. Three winners are selected from each category to move on to the county competition, where they will be displayed and judged. Entries can then move on to the state and even national levels. Good luck and happy creating!
PTA believes all children deserve a quality arts education and encourages students to pursue artistic expression through participation in its annual arts Reflections Program. The program offers students the opportunity to create works of art for fun and recognition. Students are encouraged to create and submit works of art in six areas: dance choreography, film production, literature, musical composition, photography, and the visual arts (which includes art forms such as drawing, painting, print making, collage, sculpture, ceramics, and jewelry). Works will be judged at the local, county, state and national levels.

Please be sure to fill out an entry form completely, with parental signature, before turning in your entry.
Entry Deadline is TBD, usually mid-October
Size limits, including mats:
Visual Arts: 2D: 24 x 30 3D: no size limits; see complete rules on the website above.
Photography: 11x14
Literature: 2000 words
Dance Choreography: no more than 5 minutes long
Musical Composition: no more than 5 minutes long
Film Production: no more than 5 minutes long

Seniors who are members of the Standley Lake PTSA and submit an entry can be eligible for a possible Jeffco Reflections scholarship.
